This is the number, as at the relevant date, of single equivalent units (SEUs) which are used as a standard measure of the different categories of policies that provide hospital cover.

| Form-Specifc Guidance: |
The categories of policies, and single equivalent unit (SEU) for each category, are:
(a) a hospital policy under which only one person is insured, SEU = 1 (Single);
(b) a hospital policy under which 2 adults are insured (and no-one else), SEU = 2 (Couple);
(c) a hospital policy under which 2 or more people are insured, none of whom is an adult, SEU = 1 (2+ no adults);
(d) a hospital policy under which 2 or more people are insured, only one of whom is an adult, SEU = 1 (Single parent);
(e) a hospital policy under which 3 or more people are insured, only 2 of whom are adults, SEU = 2 (Family);
(f) a hospital policy under which 3 or more people are insured, at least 3 of whom are adults, SEU = 2 (3+ adults).
